If you want to know why Bay & Bee exists, it's because no one could prepare me for the transition into motherhood.
A little over 6 years ago I sat in a hospital bed at Beaches Baptist staring into the newborn eyes. He was just looking back at me. I'm positive It was equal parts curious, equal parts terrified for both of us. It was the most powerful and most emotional time; feelings went from I love this so much to what have I done in record breaking speed.
We had just moved from Philadelphia and I had no idea how to momdate. I had my online support of friends to tell me that everything I was feeling was normal, but I wanted to find my motherhood support in person too.
"The days are long but the years are short."
In true middle of the night feedings and never sleeping, I started Pinteresting this hypothetical place where moms could meet. It was bright, clean and comfortable without any time restrictions because as a new mom, and not one for being on time, I needed flexibility.
This idea and pinterest board turned into something that would keep me from going crazy while never sleeping for more than 30 minutes. (It took 3 years to tell anyone else besides my husband about this idea)
Navigating motherhood is tough. Navigating it alone is isolating.
My favorite part of Bay & Bee are the friendships that have been made, knowing that how I felt after birth was pretty universal. It's easier doing this together. Thank you to all the families who have become our family.
Cheers to giving up the past and learning to be comfortable in our new roles.
We wanted to do a thank you giveaway.
